About the PME Upgrading

The upgrading from Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) to Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) is governed by Republic Act No. 8495, also known as the "Philippine Mechanical Engineering Act of 1998." The technical evaluation assesses the competency and qualifications of mechanical engineers who wish to elevate their professional licensure.

Requirements for PME Upgrading

To be eligible for the technical evaluation, candidates generally must:

  • Hold a valid Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) license
